The founder of Alendi Consulting, John Bonney, is an accomplished leader, a qualified executive coach and a Chartered Director of the Institute of Directors.

John enjoyed a celebrated 33 year career in the fire service becoming chief of Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service in 2004 having previously worked in London and Gloucestershire.

He led the Hampshire service for 11 years and built a national reputation for high performance and innovation. Hampshire as a fire service now has an international reputation for its effectiveness in providing safety to its community.

John was the architect of a new model of delivery for the service which improved the safety of the local community and fostered a more open, innovative and engaging culture within the organisation. Moblising the talent within the whole workforce was a key theme of his leadership approach.

During this time he also served as President of his professional body and through that role helped develop a new national policy for the sector.

He has considerable experience working with politicians and senior officials presenting evidence at various select committees and national working groups. In 2015 he was honoured with a CBE in recognition of his service to the public.

John now works with corporate clients in the public and private sectors both in the United Kingdom and United States of America.
