Coaching has become an essential tool for organisations that are seeking to release the talent of their staff. For senior executives the demands of their role often means they spend little time reflecting on their own performance or how they can grow to meet the next challenge.

Coaching provides those individuals with the time and space to honestly challenge themselves to reflect on their behaviour and commit to making changes. Coaching is not about self-indulgent conversations, to have real and sustained impact requires a coach with skill, perception and a willingness to challenge.

John is a qualified executive coach having trained at the prestigious Academy of Executive Coaching. He has worked with senior executive and directors both one to one and in teams to support personal development, career planning and performance improvement. John uses a suite of coaching techniques and approaches designed to encourage insight, challenge and reflection. He also uses a variety of art environments to help the process of sense making. These have proved particularly popular with clients wanting to be creative and willing to experiment.

Increasingly coaching techniques are also being used with teams to address performance issues and improve effectiveness. Alendi offers a range of coaching services for senior teams to improve performance, foster creativity and build better team working.

We know that successful coaching is always founded on clear commissioning both with the sponsoring organisation and the individual client or team. Care taken in setting clear and concrete objectives with both parties helps to establish clear, measurable and mutually beneficial goals designed to support the needs of the client and the organisation.

In most instances following a commissioning meeting Alendi will develop clear objectives to be agreed by all parties that become the foundation for the coaching. One to one coaching programmes are usually comprised of six 90-120 minutes sessions with a final three way meeting with sponsor, client and coach to review results and check against work performance. For team coaching the approach is crafted to meet the needs of the sponsor and can be individual sessions or a programme delivered over several weeks or months.
